Forget resolutions – 2017 is all about the Bucket List

As much as I’m a fan of self-improvement and goal setting, after a pretty full-on 2016 for my family, I want 2017 to be about having fun, making the most of being together and taking full advantage of all of the possibilities around us.

With this in mind, instead of a list of resolutions, we’ve made a bucket list, of places we’d like to go, things we’d like to experience, and some things we’d like to achieve.

Some we’ll do in 2017, indeed some are already planned or happening, others will be beyond (some way, way beyond!)

Our Bucket List wishes for 2017…

  • Visit THE ACTUAL Disneyland, Florida
  • Learn cake decorating from a professional (S)
  • Start my own small cake business (S)
  • Go on a Brownie pack holiday (H)
  • Earn the Brownie Hostess, Swimming & Adventure Badges (H)
  • Take up Basketball (M)
  • Learn to cook/prepare simple after school snacks without an adult (M)
  • Bake something new each week (S, M &H)
  • Have a child free few days away (S&J)
  • Explore Yorkshire’s beautiful canal walks/bike rides
  • Go to at least 1 live gig (S&J)

And beyond…

  • Renew our wedding vows (we’d love to do it all again with our girls there)
  • Family trip around Italy by rail (one for when the girls are little older)
  • See Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & The Cursed Child at the West End
  • Visit Greece to explore the ancient ruins
  • Go to a festival
  • Trip to New York
  • Trip to the Maldives
  • Visit Barcelona
  • Learn to cook some new cuisine types – particularly Thai
  • Eat at a Michelin Starred restaurant

We love planning adventures  – we’ve made some fantastic memories over the last few years and are excited to make many more!  Here are some of our best bits:
